I had a backyard that needed real work. A previous company dropped some trees and left wood chippings across the whole property — that was the starting point. These guys cleared the debris, took down four more trees, and hauled everything off. Nothing left behind. The grading is where they earned it. One side of my property sat significantly higher than the other, which made the yard hard to move through and unsafe in spots. They brought in an excavator, cut into the high side, and re-sloped the terrain. I can run a mower straight across now without thinking about it. I highly recommend Dave and the crew at D&G Multi Services. I had a massive emergency with water flooding my basement at my property off Chaffins Bluff Lane in the Varina area of Henrico (23231), and another contractor walked away from the job half way through because it was too difficult. Dave brought in his heavy excavation equipment, dug down a full 13 feet to expose the broken foundation drain, and replaced the pipe perfectly. After fixing the main drainage issue, they backfilled the trench, handled the final yard grading, and finished up with hydroseeding. I’ve used D&G Multi Services twice now for our school campus on County Drive right on the Petersburg / Prince George line, and they are phenomenal. The first time we hired them, they took care of our site grading perfectly to fix some major drainage issues. This second time, we needed heavy land clearing done around the property. They brought in a big excavator and a skid steer to safely knock out all the thick brush and overgrowth. Their crew is completely professional, and their dump trucks and demo trailers left the entire lot clean and safe for our kids. Would not recommend D&G Multi Services LLC. We hired them for two jobs and both were a disaster. First, they were supposed to remove a tree stump and left the yard littered with debris and chunks of wood, no cleanup and no heads-up that we'd be the ones picking it all up ourselves. Then the lawn they planted came in full of weeds, crabgrass, dandelions, nutsedge, clover, and mushrooms, with bare and patchy areas throughout. When I texted photos as David requested, I was ignored. When I finally got him on the phone, he was dismissive and told me they only contract for planting grass and take no responsibility for the crabgrass or weeds growing in, and that I'd need to hire a different company to fix it.
